Full-length portrait of Jerome in royal costume. He wears richly embroidered ermine robes, a sword, and carries a sceptre. The throne behind him has the initials "JN" on its back. His crown and sceptre with hand of justice rest on an ottoman behind him on his right. An obelisk can be seen in the background. main de justice, sceptre. Heraldry throughout the image : royal lion on carpet and robe, JN on throne, curtain, robe.
