Description:

Waist-length portrait of Napoleon, wearing his military uniform and decorations of the Legion of Honour. His right hand is tucked inside his vest in the traditional pose. He is looking out at the viewer. This is based on David's 1812 full-length portrait of Napoleon in his study.
