Bust portrait of Napoleon in coronation robes, wearing a crown of laurels. Below the image, an eagle perched on a plaque bearing the inscription in verse. The eagle holds a lightning bolt, symbol of the "power of his arm". The laurel wreath and palm branch are symbols of the "virtues of his heart." Behind the eagle clouds and the rays of the sun. Based on Lefèvre's portrait full-length portrait of the Emperor in coronation robes.
