Pierre Budin (1846-1907) was a French physician, obstetrician, and professor based in Paris, who specialized in the health of women and babies. He developed the concept of the well baby clinic and preventive obstetrics and pediatrics, and was an advocate of breastfeeding as a method of reducing infant mortality.
