Richard Brocklesby (1722-1797) was an English physician and scholar who practiced in London. He became Surgeon General of the British Army in 1758, and served in Germany during part of the Seven Years' War. His work "Œconomical and Medical Observations" (1764) contained suggestions for improving the hygiene of army hospitals.
