Dr. John Barclay (1758-1826) was a Scottish physician and lecturer on anatomy, based in Edinburgh. He was a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and in 1824 he wrote the text for "A series of engravings representing the bones of the human skeleton" (Edinburgh, 1824), engraved by Edward Mitchell.
