Date:
1933-01-22
Description:
Typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Sir Arthur Currie reporting that after reducing the expected cost of equipment and the architect's cost, the cost of building the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI)still exceeds the original estimate by $65,711.40. He identifies two reasons for this: A change in location from the original plan, and an "under estimate of the actual size" needed. Penfield volunteers that he would be willing to "contribute $10,000 from the Penfield Research Fund" to support the project.
