On the back of the telegram, there is handwriting with large lines crossed out. It is possibly a draft of the telegram Penfield intended to send back to Myers, it reads: "We motor from Montreal Friday 11th if you either take night train from New York reach Montreal Thursday Night Friday Morning and we will motor down with us together Friday 11th Morning or if you leave New York at 4 Friday afternoon 4 o'clock afternoon on Quebec train get off North Hatley on Saturday Saturday Morning or Sunday Morning 616 we will meet you there if you leave Saturday Morning if you le if you reach North Hatley and motor back to Montreal so you can take Sunday Night train from there."
