Typewritten letter from E. Harry Botterell to Wilder Penfield informing Penfield of Bill Stewart's condition, which has worsened over some months to the point of being ordered back to Canada to rest. With Stewart's return to Canada, Botterell writes that they are in need of a neurosurgeon specialist for the expansion of the hospital to move forward.
