Zamlbukh (miscellany) for literature and art, edited by the editorial staff of Yudishe folks-tsaytung.
This zamlbukh was created in the wake of the Kishinev pogrom (l903) in order to raise funds for the victims of that atrocity. Leon Tolstoy, invited by Sholem Aleichem to participate in the project, agreed to include three of his short stories, which Sholem Aleichem translated into Yiddish.
