| This richly illustrated album of paintings in the Gemäldegalerie (Picture Gallery) of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum in Berlin was edited and introduced by Koetschau during his term of office as the acting director of the Picture Gallery and Sculpture Collection (1909-1913). The descriptive text accompanying each of the 50 colour plates is by Koetschau and Adolf Philippi (1843-1918).
