| The presentation inscription to "Prof. Koetschau" is signed by the artist Johannes Greferath. A native of Silesia in Poland, he later settled in Giesenkirchen in the Rhineland, a village that became part of Mönchengladbach (Stern's native town when it was still known as München-Gladbach). This book has a ms. inscription: Dr. Max Stern, I 191, and stamp: Dominion Gallery.
