| The title page has a ms. presentation inscription to Max and Iris Stern, signed "François Gall, Paris, 1978", expressing his gratitude for 30 years of support. François Gall (1912-1987), who was born Ferenc Gall in Hungary, had moved to France and worked in Paris since 1936. He was one of many French contemporary artists represented in Canada by Stern at the Dominion Gallery. The book includes "Biographie" and "Extraits de presse".
