| This monograph on the great German painter Max Liebermann (1847-1935) includes an original etching of his self-portrait: Max Liebermann, Selbstbildnis, 1922. The book contains the ms. inscription: Stern, I 280, and is stamped: Dominion Gallery. It was acquired either by Stern when he was a student or by his father, who may have known and been portrayed by Liebermann (see books belonging to Julius Stern).
