Lowry, Glen. (1977). Persian Miniatures. (Unpublished).
This lacquer bound manuscript is a peculiar edition of a famous epic poem by the great Persian poet Sa'dī entitled the Gulistān (Rose Garden). The binding illustrates Rustam killing the savage chief of the demons, the White Div. Completing the last of seven trials, Rustam will go on to use the White Div's blood to cure the Iranian king Kay Kavus of his blindness.
