A black and white photograph of a man, a woman, and three children standing in front of a building. The caption identifies them Allen Whipple and his family at their property Weed Farm in Connecticut. The photograph was taken on June 22, 1922. Allen Whipple was the surgical chief and professor of surgery at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York, and effectively Wilder Penfield’s boss at the hospital. This is the first photograph on page 56 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
