Description: An envelope that once contained three portraits of William Osler as a medical student at McGill. Some of the handwriting is that of William Willoughby Francis, the first Osler librarian and a relative of William Osler, and some belongs to Harvey Cushing, friend and colleague of Osler and the author of "The Life of Sir William Osler."
Notes: Keep in photo box (not with 8303). 3 Early photos of W.O. -- Mr. Notman tells me that all the records of Inglis were burned, so dates cannot be checked. W.W.F. 11.X.40. Fig 6a The McGill Medical Student. Two sent to Chicago 1948. Chose one instead of the more common picture ct. Fig 10. One (Abbott p. 174, "1871" - but later (Inglis #61040) [crossed out] taken out & returned to May Taylor, 16.11.38 W.W.F. [not crossed out] herewith again. (transcribed from envelope)
