Description: William Willoughby Francis, the son of William Osler's first cousin, Marian Francis, and Osler's godson. Osler was close to Marian and her sister Jennette Osler, and was especially fond of Marian's children. He took an active interest in them throughout their lives. Francis, shown here in a choirboy's surplice, eventually became a doctor like his famous cousin; after Osler's death he compiled a catalogue of Osler's books, and became the first Osler librarian.
