Description: A view of the Piazza San Marco from a high vantage point, possibly the Campanile San Marco, a bell tower adjacent to the square. The two columns at the edge of the square hold statues of the lion of St. Mark and Saint Teodoro of Amasea. This photograph was taken by Revere Osler while the Oslers were vacationing in northern Italy in 1912. Revere developed interests in architecture and photography in his adolescence.
