Description: The Rialto Bridge in Venice, spanning the Grand Canal. The bridge leads to the Rialto Market; several shops are also located in the bridge. This photograph was taken, apparently while in a gondola, by Revere Osler while the Osler family was vacationing in northern Italy in 1912. This is one in a series of twenty-two photographs he took during the trip. Revere began to develop interests in photography and architecture during his adolescence.
