Description: Revere Osler in uniform on the terrace of 13 Norham Gardens, the Oslers' Oxford home. Revere became of age to serve in the First World War on 28 December 1914, and joined the McGill Medical Unit in 1915; in 1916 he switched to the Royal Field Artillery, expressing a desire to see combat. He died of wounds sustained in a German attack at Ypres, Belgium, on 30 August 1917.
