Description: William Osler on board the steamer Cedric on his way from America to England. Osler was in the company of his wife and son, as the family was in the process of moving from Baltimore, Maryland to Oxford, England. Osler himself was moving from the position of physician-in-chief at Johns Hopkins Hospital to that of Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford University. The family enjoyed pleasant weather on board the ship and arrived early at Oxford.
