Description: William Osler with Mary and Nora Whitelocke, identical twin daughters of Richard Henry Anglin Whitelocke, a neighbour and an Oxford surgeon. The girls each had a lock of white hair, a trait which allegedly comes out every 2 or 3 generations in the family and gives the family its name. This photograph was taken at 7 Norham Gardens, the Oslers' home for their first few years in Oxford.
