Description: This portrait of William Osler was probably taken during his student days in Montreal, or just after the completion of his degree, placing the photo between 1870 and 1872. After the completion of his degree, Osler spent two years in Europe doing post-graduate studies.
Notes: M. Taylor 18 Lorne Avenue. Osler, about 1872?, reproduced in Dr. Abbotts' "Appreciations". This copy, found among the Cushing papers (#8303) in 1938, is given to the O.L. by the Misses Taylor, to whom I returned it. W.W.F. (transcribed from back of photo)
