Description: An undated photograph of the Trinity Anglican Church in Bond Head, where Featherstone Lake Osler, Sir William's father, was minister. The church was built in 1837 under Featherstone Osler's initiative. A group of people can be seen in front of the church.
Notes: According to Mr. Michael Ball of Toronto, "My great-grandfather, Rev. Thomas Ball (1844 - 1917) was an Anglican minister at Trinity Church Bond Head from about 1874 until 1894. It was during his time in the parish that Trinity Church was moved from its original location to the current site in the village of Bond Head. Your picture (CUS_031-014_P) Undated Photograph of Trinity Anglican Church at Bond Head, Ontario actually is taken at the time Rev. Ball was in the parish. The group of people in the bottom-left corner of the picture actually includes Mrs. Ball, Rev. Ball, three of their children, and several other people. Because of the known birth dates of the children the pictue would have been taken about 1884 which was just prior to the move of the church."(email to the Osler Library, May 15th, 2010)
