Summer dress consists of a Leather Cotillion a leather Robe Leggins &c &c as in winter[.]

Their Husbands are very Kind to them their only business being to make the men's & their own Cloaths while that of the other Sex is to Chop wood, Strike Fire, make the Campment, Hunt &c &c[.] These People have a Strange Custom, which if it is not the most barbarous, it is at least the most unnatural and disgusting of any I have ever heard of[.] [W]henever the women brings forth a male Child, they have a rule of Pulling its Legs every night & morning & Squeeze its thighs, hoping by a Superstitious notion to procure him a Pair of Long Shanks, necessary for a Hunter, as being greatly conducive to his becoming a good runner[.] This custom is kept up untill the Boy is two years old When it is dropped and he allowed to Stretch on according to nature[.] The Mothers next Care towards this infant is to Suck its Penis regularly every day from its infancy to the last day of their Lives[.] To answer what Purpose this mode is performed is a Secret to themselves and which they will impart to none of the Whites, they will, tho found in action deny it – For I have Seen my Hunters wife Practice it the whole winter[.] It is a Common thing to the Sight to see little Boys scarcely seven or eight years old have Y__ds Seven or eight Inches long, with a reasonable size in circumference[.]

The Mens' are too enormous to be credited tho I should give a true account of them without exaggeration[.] The most disgusting is the old women who are rendered infirm by age & perhaps also for Service, Start at the men pull out their delicate Morsels, which they maul, Shak Shake[,] Pull at untill they exasperate there things into a
