Renovations:
1. Rooms for student nurses were built on the roof in 1926 ~(CH Lachine, p.12).
2.The fourth floor was enlarged in 1926, and study and recreation rooms were built for the nurses ~(CH Lachine, p.13).
3. Renovations and repairs were made to the inner walls and roof by F. Coallier in the spring of 1921 ~(CH Lachine, p.16).
4.The roof was redone in asphalt in April 1930 ~(CH Lachine, p.21).
Organizing Institution: The hospital was founded by Father Joseph-Télésphore Savaria.
Architectural Notes: In 1914 the hospital was organized in the following manner: the sterilization and operation rooms were on the ground floor, the parlors, pharmacy, library, chapel and refectory were on the first floor, and the patient rooms and kitchens were on the second and third floors ~(CH Lachine, p.11).

Material: Many of the materials used were bought in 1912, including wood, cement for the foundation and asbestos for the roof. In October 1913, red brick for the exterior was purchased from F.C. Brunet, and linoleum (in squares) was bought for the chapel in 1914.(CH Lachine, p.10)
Construction Notes: The surveyor was Mr. Fidele Barbeau, and he prepared the land for April 1913. For an extensive description of the land and its preparation, see p.8 of the pamphlet. The engineer was Mr. J.-A. Deslauriers, and Mr. Decliva Lamoureux was in charge of excavation. In 1913 the laundromat was built, and the ventilation and plumbing were installed. The approximate total cost of the structure was $56 000 (CH Lachine, p.10).
General Notes: The land for the hospital was donated by the church of Ste.-Anges on September 15, 1912 (CH Lachine, p.8). The church was to be run by the Communaute des Soeurs de la Providence, and fundraising was organized by the Dames et Demoiselles de Charite de Lachine. The school for nurses was opened in September 1926. The hospital was affiliated with the Université de Montreal in 1930.
