Québec: Des Presses à vapeur de Loger Brosseau, 1880. (Série: Etudes historiques). FC305 D56 1880, Rare books and Special Collections Champlain died on Christmas Day, 1635, in Quebec City. His exact burial place is unknown, but it is generally believed that it was in a chapel in the Upper Town. Many theories have circulated as to the location of the site on which the chapel stood. This pamphlet by an important Quebec historian provided yet another serious proposal for the location of the chapel."
