Niels Ryberg Finsen's original ultraviolet lamp, called the Finsen Lamp, is depicted in this place next to a modified design known as the Finsen-Reyn Lamp. The Finsen-Reyn Lamp was designed in 1904 by Finsen and his former pupil Axel Reyn. This modified lamp was used to irradiate single patients at a time, rendering treatment more private and making the lamp useful for smaller facilities.
