| One of the highlights of the Ducal Collection of Art and Antiquities at the Veste Coburg, where Koetschau was the director from 1897 to 1902, is a substantial collection of works by Lucas Cranach the Elder (1472-1553). This book on Cranach's stylistic development contains the author's illegible presentation inscription, dated Berlin 1902. It also has Koetschau's bookplate by E. Liebermann in it, the ms. inscription: Dr. Max Stern, I 73, and the stamp: Dominion Gallery.
