| This handbook for museum personnel, collectors and dealers on art expertise, conservation and restoration is a guide to the distinctions between forgeries and genuine works of art. It is stamped: Dominion Gallery, and has the ms. inscription: Dr. Max Stern, VII 34 on the front flyleaf. Judging from the date of publication, it must have belonged to Julius Stern, although Max had already attended an auction and been authorized to make purchases in 1923 (see Stern and Koetschau).
