This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield and Theodore Rasmussen to H. Rowan Gaither Jr. This letter is in regards to a previous, rejected application for the Ford Foundation. It was written in the hopes that the Ford Foundation would reconsider their previous application for a grant of five hundred thousand dollars for the establishment of research fellowships in the institute’s scientific laboratories. The rest of the letter details the potential uses of the grant. The letter is dated August 6, 1955.
