Description:
This is the front of a black and white photograph postcard showing the arrival of American troops in Paris on July 4, 1917. The image shows five American soldiers standing in a line at attention. They are in the Cour d'honneur at L'Hôtel national des Invalides (Les Invalides) in Paris. Three of the soldiers are carrying colours and two are not. A large crowd of military personnel and civilians can be seen in the archways behind the five soldiers.
