This is the front of a black and white photograph postcard issued to mark the arrival of American troops in Paris on July 4, 1917. The image shows a column of what appear to be French soldiers marching out of the north entrance of L'Hôtel national des Invalides (Les Invalides) in Paris towards Place des Invalides. A crowd of military personnel and civilians line the sides of the road.
