This is a typewritten letter from Paul Myers to Wilder Penfield. It concerns Penfield's receipt of an indemnity from the German government for the S.S. Sussex incident. Due to the fact that the Treasury Department had been holding the sum for him, the original fifteen thousand dollars was supplemented with three thousand six hundred and ninety seven dollars and forty seven cents. This letter is dated October 1, 1928.
