Wilder Penfields' copy of a typewritten letter from the attorney Paul Myers to Chandler C. Anderson (of the law firm Chandler Parsons Anderson), Commissioner of the American and German Mixed Claims Commission. Myers confirms the receipt of a notice sent to Myers' client, Wilder Penfield, from the Mixed Claims Commission regarding "the statutory prohibition and regulation of attorneys' fees.” The purpose of Myers letter is to advise the Mixed Claim Commission "as a matter of record" that the care and services rendered to Wilder Penfield are being offered for free due to a close personal friendship between Myers and Penfield.

Services rendered are believed to have been in regards to a sum of money that Penfield was to receieve as part of an indemnity from the German government for the torpedoing of the S.S. Sussex.

Myers is believed to have been a colleague of Wilder Penfields while the two men were students together at Princeton University.

Myers addresses his letter to "Chandler C. Anderson", however Andersons' middle initial was actually "P."

Typed at the top of page is blue ink: "COPY for Dr. Penfield".
