The image’s caption indicates that the photograph was taken in 1927 and identifies the children as Francis Hall Jr. and his younger brother George Hall. In the photograph they are sitting outside on a blanket and George Hall is holding a wooden toy boat. Their father, Dr. Francis Hall, Dr. Francis Hall, was a friend of Wilder Penfield’s from their time as undergraduates at Princeton University. The photograph is from page 71 of Wilder Penfield's 1919-1927 album.
