A black and white photograph of Wilder Graves Penfield, Helen Kermott Penfield, Dr. (later Sir) Gordon Holmes and Dr. Rosalie Jobson Holmes (Mrs. Gordon Holmes). They are sitting in a rowboat somewhere on the River Thames. Gordon Holmes is passing an oar to his wife. The photograph was taken during a sculling (rowing) trip from Oxford to London which Dr. and Mrs. Penfield took with the Holmes from May 14 to 16, 1921. This is the fifth photograph from page 42 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
