Description:
Black and white photo from page 40 of the 1913-1916 album created by Wilder Penfield. Features a man with his back to the camera and his face in profile. It appears the bones have been removed from his left arm, the limb rests on the armrest of the chair he is sitting in. Believed to be taken in the V.R. 76 military hospital in Ris-Orangis, France, while Penfield was there in late 1915.
