Photograph shows a monument at Great St. Bernard pass, placed at the former site of a temple to Jupiter Poeninus. Inscription on the statue reads, "Deo optimo maximo." A portion of the Alps is visible behind the monument.
Photograph was likely taken during Wilder Penfield's trip to Europe in the spring of 1915.
