Description:
This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Sir Hugh Cairns. In the letter, Penfield thanks Cairns for his congratulatory cablegram, stating that, having become frustrated at the amount of work it took to get the Montreal Neurological Institute built and open, the letter made him realize the pleasure of finally opening the MNI. He goes on to discuss his surprise and pleasure of being elected a member of the British Neurological Society. This letter is dated November 9, 1934.
