This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Lieutenant Colonel C. E. Cross, at the No. 1 Neurological Hospital. In the letter Dr. Penfield recounts details of earlier correspondence with Cross, specifically that a letter addressed to Cross had been sent to Ken MacKenzie, founder of the University of Toronto’s Division of Neurosurgery. Dr. Penfield also discusses the details of a donation that had been received by the Montreal Neurological Institute, stating that it should be for the comfort of the staff at the Number 1 Neurological Hospital or for novel research, rather than for repaying debts. The letter is dated July 11, 1941.
