Note from Ann Dawson (AD) to Wilder Penfield.
Description:
This is a typed and undated note to Dr. Wilder Penfield from Anne Dawson, his secretary at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI). In the note, Miss Dawson informs Dr. Penfield that a letter authorizing payment from the Red Cross for lights to be used at the MNI has been lost. She asks whether it would be advisable to send the bill for the lights to Major Corrigal, the Canadian Red Cross Commissioner, stating that Lieutenant Colonel William Leggat, President of the Quebec Provincial Division of the Canadian Red Cross Society, had approved paying for the lights, and that the lights were now installed and working well. She also asks whether, given the circumstances, it would be best that the letter be written as coming from Dr. Penfield himself. At the end of the note, Miss Dawson indicates that attached to this note was a copy of the original letter from Lt.Col. Leggat in which he states that the Red Cross would pay for the lights.
