This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Colonel J.C. Mackenzie of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. In the letter Dr. Penfield updates Colonel Mackenzie about his feelings and perceptions regarding the federal government's proposal for expanding the Montreal Neurological Institute to deal with the number of military patients the institute was treating. The letter is dated August 4, 1944.
