This is a typewritten, twenty-four page application to the Rockefeller Foundation. The application was for a grant for the construction of the Montreal Neurological Institute and an endowment for its operation budget. The application details the current financial situation of the institute. It also discusses the personnel already working in neurology and neurosurgery at McGill University, concluding with an overview of the MNI’s institutional relationships, past support Dr. Penfield and McGill had received from the Rockefeller Foundation, as well as the history of neurology at both McGill and its teaching hospitals.
