The founder and warden of the school, the Reverend William Johnson, modelled the school after old English institutions such as Eton and Rugby, and the students were governed by the prefect system. William Osler himself "sat" as prefect for much of his time there and the window of the room where he did so is shown in this photograph to the right of the staircase. Trinity College School was moved to Port Hope, Ontario, in 1868, the year after Osler left.
Notes: Window (to Right of Steps going up to Hall door) underground room where Osler sat as Prefect in Early days at Weston. Where T C S Boys ate their meals. (transcribed from back of photo)
