"This is a picture of the Anglican Church at Bond head, Ont. (near Barrie) The original building was first located about one and a half miles from its present site. As the village grew -- not around the church but around a cross-road -- the church was moved down to the village for the convenience of the congregation. "I believe that it was bricked some time following the trasnference from the old to the present site. At any rate, in this church Sir Wm. Osler's father conducted services and in it his several distinguished sons first worshipped." (transcribed from letter by Dr. Charles A. Mitchell)
