Gwendolen Marjorie Howard lived in Montreal from her birth until 1894, when she left to attend school, first in Dresden and then at Highfield school in England. In 1899 she returned to Montreal and lived there until her marriage in 1909. She vacationed and visited friends at Ste. Anne/Senneville, Como, Île d'Orléans, Métis-sur-Mer, Murray Bay, Kingston, Ontario, Baltimore, Maryland, Bermuda, and Britain.
