Description: The estate constructed for George Pullman on Pullman Island in the Thousand Islands as seen in August 1904. Mr Pullman, who died in 1897, had been the head of the Pullman Palace Car Company, an American company which manufactured railway cars during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
