General Description:

Sited on a raised plaza, the two storey Iran Pavilion was designed with Iranian tradition and handicraft in mind. A central atrium was lined with two main staircases that led visitors to exhibitions found on each level. Exhibitions showcased the country's varied landscape from its tall mountains and vast plains to its arid desert land. Iranian monuments and treasures displayed the country's cultural heritage. Industrial and economical issues were discussed in an oil exploitation display. Outside on the patio spirits were kept high at the Iranian bar which served specialties such as caviar and vodka.
